Do you buy albums?

[Editor’s Note: This article was written by the CTL’s Laurie Hansen.]

I’m sure you’ve heard that iTunes announced they are now a social networking site.  I am already a music groupie for you-know-who, but now I can follow him on iTunes with Ping.

What I find to be even more interesting is that Jobs also proclaims, “Maybe it’s time to ditch the CD in the logo.”   It’s interesting (to me, anyway) that although a collection of “downloads” isn’t printed on vinyl, it is still referred to as an “album” or a “record.”  I have even heard elders still calling them “tapes”.   Perhaps the new logo is a blue, circular homage to the vinyl disc.

Like it or not, looks like we have all been officially bumped into the digital age

Hey Will! Glad you liked the table used in my presentation! This is a fantastic (and helpful) site of visualization tools!

    Take care,
