KUSLUG. (A name any kid would love!)

Kaplan University Second Life Users Group has been going strong for over a year and a half!  When the Innovations Lab started, the interest in Second Life was huge.  It seemed like half of our early fellowship applications focused on Second Life.  Even with the glamour of Second Life fading in the popular media, our KUSLUG is still admirably pressing on, meeting the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

In fact, Kaplan University’s Center for Teaching and Learning has secured a parcel of land so that faculty members associated with the Users Group can learn about environment, build skills needed to leverage the technology for innovative teaching and to experiment.  In July, we broke out the virtual bubbly, and broke new ground in Second Life.  Here is a short movie capturing the moment.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Music in the video was One Question at a Time by Van Davis.

  1. I have attended several of the KUSLUG meetings and hope to attend many more in the future. The members are welcoming and helpful – in every session I am provided with additional resources and a chance to improve my virtual world skills. If you are interested in testing the waters with Second Life give this group a try.:)

  2. I would love to attend. When is the meeting time and how do I log in? I have a username.
