Food Fight- the film short serves up a battle that depicts “an abridged history of American-centric war, from World War II to present day, told through the foods of the countries in conflict.” This is an interesting way to illustrate war and it will be sure to curb your appetite. Creator Stefan Nadelman notes that initially the topic was going to be the “history of ALL conflict.” But he “quickly realized that it would not only take forever to do that, but [he] had no idea what ancient Egyptians where eating.” I found out about diet of Ancient Egyptians with one click. However, I doubt anyone in this day and age would understand what flinging vegetables and bread would signify, so I see his point.
Food Fight- the Documentary is “a fascinating look at how American agricultural policy and food culture developed in the 20th century, and how the California food movement has created a counter-revolution, against big agribusiness.” Sounds a lot like Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution that started with his TED Talk, no?
