Paint.net

050710_will_ilsmallThere are lots of options for photo editting, just like with almost all technology tools these days — online, freeware, low-cost and commercial softwares.  Photo editors exhibit a wide, wide ranges of approaches — from the graphics industry-standard and expensive Photoshop to free online photo editors.

Logo3One that I found that looks worth checking out is Paint.net.  It is a desktop software and it is free. I ran it through its basic paces and it looks like it can do many of the things I normally do to prepare an image for my classes: resize, adjust color and adjust constrast, for example.

If folks want me to do an IL Live Event on using this particular tool, drop me a line in the comments or via email at wdebock@kaplan.edu.  I would be happy to do so.

I’ll see you on the web,
