A new search engine: Wolfram Alpha is Out

The king of Search seems to have a new challenger to the throne: Wolfram Alpha (http://www.wolframalpha.com/).

It is starting to create some buzz.  Whether it is a threat to Google is yet to be determined.     Check ’em out.

Can’t imagine it will be much threat to a general search engine, but the dates, locations (even compares current times), and stock comparison functions could be useful. I like it as a dictionary as well. Just read about it on the American Bar Assoc. SoloSez site as well.

    Mike,
I saw the You Tube video by the founder explaining this Computational Knowledge Engine. I checked it out recently and it totally blew my mind. The statistics it can produce about a topic would be so valuable for student research papers, not to mention the math and chemistry problems some students may have to deal with. I think it is another awesome tool for great research statistics.
